Understanding the Relationship Between Air Pollution and Water Pollution

General airborne pollutants Comments Off
Any type of pollution can affect every living organism (including human beings) and each ecosystem in many ways. As a matter of fact, contamination of the air can eventually lead to the corruption of bodies of water and land areas as well. According to expert environmentalists and scientists, air pollution can directly affect the natural water systems. We must clean our air to maintain the purity of our water supplies.
The contamination of our bodies of water (and land areas) starts in the simple process of the making of acid rain. When airborne pollutants mixed with the process of precipitation, clouds will contain the destructive acid rain. Acid rain can destroy structures, buildings and some crops. The contamination of bodies of water starts when landfall of acid rain showered on surface water supplies. Other than altering and compromising the land and soil composition, acid rain can also pollute underground water supply in the process.
